Very Vintage Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day is only two short weeks away! Whether you’ve got a hot date, you’re going out with your girlfriends, or you’re just hanging out at home watching Netflix and waiting for the 50% off chocolate sales on the 15th, I’ve styled some outfit options for every occasion!

First up is a lovely little 1950s dress that’s perfect for a Valentine’s Day date. Its watercolor-esque rose print is very appropriate for Valentine’s Day and the flared skirt is so flirty and flattering. Whether you and your boo are going out for a nice lunch during the day or going somewhere a little fancier in the evening, this dress can be styled for both!

For a daytime date, I’ve paired it with a simple strand of pearls and I would finish off the look with a pair of nude pumps to keep it very classic and feminine – I would go for a nude or blush pink lipstick as well to maintain a more daytime feel. To take this dress into the evening, I would stick with the pearls but I would exchange the nude pumps for a black pair instead. You could also add black tights and a black coat or sweater to keep your arms and legs protected from whatever evening chill there may be (you never know with Texas weather!) Trade the nude lipstick for your favorite shade of red and pucker up, you’re all ready for your date!

Next occasion on the list – Galentine’s Day! Maybe you’re going from brunch or drinks and you’re looking for something cute to wear and maybe looking to try something a little different while you’re at it. After all, you’re most confident when you’re with your friends so that makes stepping outside your fashion comfort zone a little less uncomfortable! The base of this outfit is nothing out of the ordinary – this light pink shift dress is so simple and sweet and can be worn again and again, styled so many different ways. The little something different comes in with the accessories – I’ve added a pair of white gloves!

It’s not often you see women wearing gloves as an everyday accessory anymore, but they add such an unexpected chicness to a simple outfit like this one! I’ve also styled this dress with the same strand of pearls from the previous look and added a small clutch bag to hold all your essentials. I personally would go with a white pump here but you could do nude again or even a coordinating pink! A swipe of nude or pink lipstick again would both look lovely, and you’ll be ready for a day out with the ladies!

Last but not least is perfect for all the girls who may not have a date to get dolled up for but still want to incorporate some sweetness into their outfit on the 14th – lace is the way to go! This romantic 1970s high-collared lace blouse adds just enough of that sweetness.

Keep it casual by pairing it with some jeans and a simple pair of flats, and top it off with a necklace. This 1960s gold heart pendant is the perfect choice! Now all you need is to grab a big heart-shaped box of assorted chocolate, put on your favorite romantic comedy, and relax!

This necklace would also make a great gift for your sweetheart! We’ve got lots of jewelry items and other accessories that will have your Valentine feeling the love, and we’re here to help you find the perfect piece!
